Wingo Hom & Angela McCabe
are two
very dedicated individuals whose passion for dance, socially and
competitively, brought them together. They have been partners
for the last five years, primarily competing in Hustle.
Recently they are also strong competitors in Triple Threat
events (i.e., Hustle, West Coast Swing and Salsa). Their strong
friendship began in 2000, where they met at the World Hustle
event in Las Vegas, and their partnership began to flourish in
2002. After numerous Open division championships and being
recognized as the IHDA's Amateur Point Leaders for 2006-2007,
they decided to turn Pro.
In their debut at DiscoAmerica 2007, they achieved the
following successes:

Wingo Hom has been dancing
Hustle for over 30 years, in his words, "basically since the
beginning of Hustle". Wingo started dancing at 11 years old
when a classmate's parents introduced a variety of dances in
their living room. It sparked an immediate interest. Wingo went
on to learn and also compete in all the different dances:
American and International style of ballroom and Latin, Lindy,
Hustle, West Coast Swing, and even Salsa. Over the years Hustle
was the one dance that stayed with him and that he continues to
enjoy. Although Wingo currently resides in New York, he is a
familiar presence in the Philadelphia Hustle scene.
Angela McCabe has been dancing for over 10 years. She began
with Country and West Coast Swing and quickly moved into Hustle
due to its strong presence in Philadelphia. Angela took to the
competition floor almost immediately and started competing in
the Pro-Am, Jack-n-Jill and Just Dance divisions. She started
making her way up the ranks over the course of a year to become
one of the top female amateur Hustle dancers competing in the
circuit. Angela resides and teaches in the suburbs of
Philadelphia.
